DOG IS LOVE

About Us

Buddy

In the spring of 2001 I found a beagle mix dog in the parking lot of Asheville's health food store. I took him home with me and when I could not locate his family, I began searching for a new home for "Buddy".

I saw that the local rescue organizations were desperately overloaded with homeless dogs and realized it was not going to be easy to place this young, energetic guy.  I put up a web site to advertise Buddy for adoption, and that's how loveyourbuddy.com began.

Suzi and Kiko

A little while after Buddy was adopted, I printed my first batch of DOG IS LOVE bumper stickers. At the time, I just thought it would be fun to see them on cars all over town. When I saw how popular they were, I decided use the DOG sticker series to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare & rescue organizations.

I hope DOG IS LOVE will bring smiles to drivers and parking lot wanderers and at the same time, generate a little money to help those working to reduce the suffering of homeless animals.
